Not sure if there are any Cross stitchers in this community. I picked up the latest issue of the UK's Crossstitcher the other day and apart from there being a pattern for a cross stitch dalek in it on the just for fun page it said next months stitch a star would be none other than our Mr. Barrowman. I hope he doesn't get inundated with the piece by cross stitching fans. I saw some pictures in another cross stitching magazine of a woman who'd stitched Christopher Eccleston for the poor man's mother and then had him pose with it.

The issue in question will be on sale on the 17th of July. :)

Day Six - The Vestal's Lot
Summary: It was a Wednesday afternoon when Ianto remembered a year that never happened. But the Wednesday mattered more.

Backstory: I come from the HP fandom, where I've been cosplaying Snape FOREVER. It's pretty easy for me, I'm slight and sharp-featured and have dark chin-length hair. The fact that I'm a woman is really no obstacle there at all. So many layers and Snape gets lots of feminine adjectives from JKR.

Righto. So I get into Torchwood fandom and I'm like "wow, this sucks, I totally can't cosplay any of the characters, especially the one I connect to because I'm a girl and I'm short."

But all my friends are like, "naaaaah, you totally could do Jack." And I do tend to take up a lot of space in spirit at least.

So despite telling myself I wouldn't even try because I hate to half-ass things, I eventually gave in.

With the results below the cut-tag. I'm pretty pleased with myself. Now if I could just solve the coat problem.

Hi, everyone! I just joined the group, and I thought I would post an introduction. I'm Kate, and I'm a 19 year old female college student. I started watching Doctor Who when it premiered in 2005, after my dad introduced it to me (he's been watching the show since the original). Recently I was posting an entry about a Doctor Who episode on my journal, and then I realized how futile my effort was because only one person who reads my journal watches the show...so that landed me here, where I hope to meet some other fans and talk about the show!
